That happened to me, but taking it a week after can kindda screw up the schedule. They suggest taking it on sunday so you get it on the weekend. But mine doesn't come until the next wednesday. [4 days into my green pills if you're taking ortho tri cyclen lo] They say that's fine though, so it's up to you when you start.

You are supposed to start it on the first 24 hrs. of your period? However,if you choose the ';Day One Start'; which is what you are doing,you need to use a contraception method for the first 7 days(i.e. condom).If you take it the first 24 hrs of your period then you are protected immediately.
