Birth control pills are not 100% effective. So yes, it is possible. Take a test and see what the result is. If it shows that you are not pregnant, then I recommend you speak with your doctor. Something else may be going on that needs attention. Is it possible to get pregnant while on birth control and your spotting between periods?
The most common medications that decrease the efficacy of birth control pills are antibiotics, anti-seizure medications, and some herbal supplements like St. John's Wort.
Your medications shouldn't cause a problem. As long as you have been taking your BC pills correctly (one pill, everyday, within 2 hours of the same time everyday), you should be 99% protected against pregnancy.
They say the chances are 99%. You know there is always that 1% left, so it's individual. If your doctor said it's ok for you to use your birth control together with your meds, then I'm sure it's not gonna stop working and plus you've been on BC for 2 years.
My answer is NO. You can't get pregnant while spotting in between the periods. If you're concerned, then use a condom while spotting. Or, you can also call the manufacturer of your BC(normally they have the free toll phone number on their web site) they will transfer you to their professional and they will asnwer all of your questions about te product.
Good luck and be safe!
;)
I would call your pharmacist and ask. It also couldn't hurt to look up your specific medications online and read about them to see if they cancel out birth control or not. Also, when in doubt - pee on a stick!
