Animal control officer, how to become one, and how long it takes?

I'm planning on becoming one, someday.Animal control officer, how to become one, and how long it takes?
Depends of what state / county you plan on becoming an animal control officer - most i've seen require some type of education beyond a high school diploma, mostly a 2 yr degree in animal science, criminal justice or a related field, there may be some type of euthanasia training, plus experience in working with animals. There are places in which animal control officers are police officers, so you may need to attend a police academy.
