Why is it advantageous for the cell to possess 2 control mechanisms: enzyme inhibition and repression?

Enzymes are regulated mainly by repression and feedback inhibition. what is the advantageous of having 2 controls? Why is it advantageous for the cell to possess 2 control mechanisms: enzyme inhibition and repression?
Feedback inhibition allows the enzyme to be controlled by what is happening at a later stage in the pathway. If there is too much product being produced then the enzyme at an earlier part of the pathway needs to be switched off and this is done by the actual product at a later stage in the pathway coming back and stopping enzyme activity.

Enzyme inhibition by something other than a product in the pathway allows control of the enzyme whether or not product is being produced.

Having these 2 controls allows the level of substrate and product to be involved in the activity of the enzyme and not just the inhibition system.
