When is it good to start having intercourse after u start takin birth control pill?

I started taking the birth control pill like a week ago can I have unprotected sex with my fiance now or is there a chance I can still get pregnant. When is it good to start having intercourse after u start takin birth control pill?
The pill is a reliable method of birth control, if you take it everyday. It takes one week to start working. So, if you have been taking it for a week, you are 99% protected from pregnancy. When is it good to start having intercourse after u start takin birth control pill?
Yes it is possible to still get pregnant. The only way not to positively get pregnant is to not have sex. Any birth control is not 100% Unless it is surgical like a hystrectomy
i think after a week, it's okay. call doc and ask nurse.

How long dose it take birth control to work...?

That depends on the type of birth control.

The safe thing the doctor usually tells you to do is to wait one month.

Technically though, if it's a combined pill - if you start it within 5 days of the start of your period it should work right away, or otherwise in seven days.

PlannedParenthood.org has great info about birth control. Everything you ever wanted to know. How long dose it take birth control to work...?
It's usually a week or two but It does depend on both the type of birth control and, if it's the pill, your weight.

Just remember the percentages of the pill working range anywhere from 88 to 99 percent, and it doesn't protect against STI's. Try to use a condom everytime anyway =]How long dose it take birth control to work...?
well acording to my gynocologist when you are done taking the first week of them you are fine...although some people beg to differ and say to wait about 3 months! Personally my husband and i have been having condomless sex for about....a month or so and i have been on the pill for 2 months or so....i also use spermicide just to be on the really safe side!!!

Is it OK to uninstall the Windows updates in Control Panel?

My startup is taking longer and longer. I went to uninstall programs I never use, and there are 102 Windows updates and hotfixes running when the list populates. Once those have been installed, I have to run them forever? Can I delete them and have fewer processes running without making my PC more vulnerable? (I have XP, btw)Is it OK to uninstall the Windows updates in Control Panel?
Hi, don't delete them. You see they r just patches that fix security problems, they r not programs so they don't actually run cause even if u do remove them windows will just download them again. If u want to speed up ur computer then restart in safe mode and visit http://onecare.live.com and run Microsoft's free safety scan. Then restart normally and scan disk for errors and bad sectors. Later defragment ur hard disks. Also go to start%26gt;run and type msconfig and go to the tab start up services and stop any unnecessary software u don't use from loading on start up. I hope I helped.

Good Luck and take care!Is it OK to uninstall the Windows updates in Control Panel?
u can uninstall all updates, however if u see a set of security updates i would recommend to leave them installed. They don't slaw down your computer but protect very well of viruses.
Hi, if it is done by add remove programs in control panel it should not cause any problem.

jim
Yes you can delete them, as soon as you know that your system is OK with the changes done by the update.

After doing so you can麓t uninstall them of course!
when you answered my question about when go comes and stuff you really answered my question and EXACTLY what i wanted and it really helped a lot, are you christian? umm yea soo when my question time ends, im marking you as best answer, just a heads up so thanx u helped a ton!

  • What would you like to ask?Is it right for me to try to control my relatives kids?

When one of my family members comes to visit something always gets broke and her two kids wreck my house. she never tells them to stop hanging on the door handles, stay out of the fridge, ect. she acts like she don't notice the bad behavior. Is it ok for me to correct them?

What should I do?What would you like to ask?Is it right for me to try to control my relatives kids?
Yes, Its your house so you have the right. Be polite about it, but firm enough that she will take notice also. Then about 10-15 min before they leave tell all the kids to pick up before they go. And If mom tries to leave before they finish, call the kids back and tell her they are almost done and tell them go ahead and finish before they go. Just do it as nicely and as firmly as possible. That lets the kids and mom know and see how things need to be done when there in your house. What would you like to ask?Is it right for me to try to control my relatives kids?
The best thing for you to do would be to talk to your family member about it. And ask her if she would prefer you saying something to them, or if she would rather say something to them. Then she will know that you don't like that behavior and maybe do something about it. You do have the right to politely say to her kids. Can you please stay out of my fridge, and so on. But best to talk about it with their parents first.
    Definitely okay. Your house, your rules. RIGHT when they walk in the door say, ';Okay kids, you can go to play room and play with the toys but if you need anything else, let us know.';

If they start acting up, reprimand them. Tell them if they dont stop they wont be able to play anymore. If that doesnt work, you need to have a talk with her. OR keep playdates at her house so your's doesnt get ruined.
depends on how well you get along with the family member.

I have no issue telling my nieces and nephew what the rules in my house are.

If they are doing something that's outright not acceptable, a quick, We don't do that in my house normally stops it.

She may be so overwhelmed and happy to get out of the house she's blocking it all out.
I think you should correct them. If you don't put your foot down they are going to ruin your house, let alone think your a push over. Talk to their mother 1-0n-1 and explain how you feel. If she doesn't listen, keep her kids out our house. It's that simple.
You set the rules in your house. If the mother does not set standards of behavior for her kids that respect your things then you are well within your rights to do so. She will either catch on or she can stop bringing them over.
Simply stop inviting them over to your house. Duh!
its your house your rules if she cant respect that then they need to stop coming over until they do
My sis-n-law was like that. on her last visit, I yelled at her. she hasn't been back! WOOO HOOOO!!!!!!

Is it dangerous to continuously use the ';active'; birth control pills and skip the placebo's?

Instead of using the placebo's in my 28 day birth control pills, could I just continue with the active pills so I don't get my period? Or would that mess something up? Would I be likely to get pregnant if I did this? Or would it cause any health problems or anything? Is it dangerous to continuously use the ';active'; birth control pills and skip the placebo's?
You should be ok as long as all three weeks of active pills are the same color. It might cause some harmless spotting, though.

(By the way, if each week is a different color, meaning different levels of hormones, you could get pregnant doing that)Is it dangerous to continuously use the ';active'; birth control pills and skip the placebo's?
could I just continue with the active pills so I don't get my period?

No its call cycling you may have spotting until your body adjust to the hormones Continuously

Or would that mess something up?

No bc its not a period what you experience with the pill its withdrawl from the hormones. Your body is used to the hormones for 3 weeks and then you stop so your body reacts by bleeding. T he linning in your uterus is not thickening so there is nothing to shed monthly

Would I be likely to get pregnant if I did this?

No as long as you take your pill everyday at the same time for atleats 4 weeks then you are protected.

Or would it cause any health problems or anything?

If you plan on doing this for the remainder of your life then yes. If you plan to be on birth control temporarily then no. I did it for 1 year and then decided to do natural family planning to prevent pregnancy
You can do this if you have a monophasic (all three active weeks are the same color) pill. If your pills are different colors you will need to switch to a different pill.

It is not dangerous, and some studies have shown reduced female cancers correlating with having fewer periods. Most female gynecologists actually do this with their birth control. Be warned, it may take your body quite some time to get used to this set up. I did this with my nuvaring and had annoying spotting through out my cycle. This ends, but can take months.

This will make you no more likely to get pregnant. But if you do get pregnant while taking the pill it may take you longer to realize it because you aren't having periods.
When birth control pills originally came out, there were no placebos. They were put in the pack because women didn't like NOT getting their period because they always wondered if they were pregnant. Adding the placebos gave the woman back her period and the reassurance that she did not conceive that month.

So placebos aren't necessary. A new birth control pill called seasonale that only gives you a week of placebos once every three months. So only 4 periods a year. Years before that was available , doctors would recommend skipping the placebo if your period was going to coincide with an important event (vacation, wedding, ect).

I honestly don't know the long term ramifications of not taking the placebos but doing it for a few months is fine. Ask your doctor how long she would recommend skipping the placebo.
There is no medical reason to have a period once a month while on the pill however a period is necessary at least 2 to 3 times a year to keep the lining of the uterus from becoming to thick. Hence, the 4 periods a year thing that has become so popular. Having only a few periods a year does not change the effectiveness of your birth control as long as you are still taking it everyday as instructed.
I wouldnt do it! If you dont want to get your period maybe you shd consider switching birth control pills... try seasonique... that one you only get a period 3 times a year.

Theres a reason why they have the pacebos in there... Any sort of prescription, pill or medicine you shd always take as directed!
It can because your uterine lining builds up and on the fourth week you're supposed to shed it and thus have your period. If it keeps building up and never sheds, well I think that could present problems. Just let it shed every months, unless you have having a big even come up. A week shouldn't hurt, but over time it can. Good luck!
No, my mom did that, and she's fine.

Her doctor said it was okay too.

    EDIT:

My mom had been doing that for years, and she hasn't had any health problems.

All her pills were the same color, so it wasn't different levels of hormones.

She's not on the pill anymore though, because my dad got a vasectomy.
It won't mess anything up to continue taking the ';active'; pills. That's basically the idea with the new Pill called Seasonique, to make u skip your period. According to them, there is no medical reason for you have a period each month.
It shouldn't cause an issue if it's the 28 day pills, but I would still talk to the pharmacy you're getting your pills from just to make sure. Depending on the brand and how high the dosages are.
You should have at least 2 period per year. There are birth control pills that give you 4 per year. These are Seasonique and Seasonale.
No, not dangerous. This has become a commonly accepted practice.
I'm not sure... but aren't placebos essentially just sugar?? They are ineffective, right? I think maybe you should ask a doctor.
It is fine, that's why certain birth control pills come in three month sets.
DOCTOR !!!!!! dont ask yahoo answers
The pill is dangerous, and contributes to breast cancer no matter how you slice it.

Is it legal for a parent to have total control over a child?

Is it legal for a parent to keep a child inside the house all the time, not allowing them to see anyone their own age expect at school, not letting them go out and enjoy thier teenage years? Is it legal for a parent to have total control over a child?
Contrary to most of the answers that you have received, it is ot so cut %26amp; dried that you can make a strict yes or no answer. Most jurisidictions have very general laws that prohibit ';child neglect';. Refunds a child any outside contact could be considered emotional abuse and thus subject the parents to prosecution. Is it legal for a parent to have total control over a child?
    Yes
yes unfortunately it is. i understand exactly where youre coming from. It looks like a trust thing with you and your parents. This kind of treatment is the cause of a lot of run aways. and it doesn't have to go this extreme. if only there was better communication .
yes man its fully legal from GOD ...

they are there for u from ur GOD ... He is the one who is inside them ...

when u do some thing wrong or which would hurt u in longrun ...

respect ur parents and obey them ...
not only legit, but required and necessary
no but it should every child needs their freedom not i going to do what i want to when i want to freedom a parent must have control over their child but what is life if you have not enjoyed it keep an eye on your child but give them their freedom.
Yep. But that doesn't make it right.

Someone that they respect could try to talk some sence into the parents... This doesn't exactly sound like a case for the clild protection agency.
With the laws we have today you must be careful and not do something Illegal. The PD where I live is more than happy to inform parents of what they can and cannot do to get control of their kids. The laws in my state are not as strict as in others. In fact, my state has a law giving parents the right to spank their children. NoT beat their children, but spank. We are either the last state or one of the last states that allow Corporeal Punishment (Paddling) in schools.

Check with a legal authority as to what you can do in your state.

I personally don't like spanking and try to avoid doing it. I will do it if it's necessary. When my daugher was first learning to ride a bike, she disobeyed me and almost got ran over by a car. She got Spanked. She was 5. She got spanked when she was 7 and again when she was 9. I finally understood what my parents used to say: ';This will hurt me more than it will hurt you';. The child suffers physical pain that goes away in a short time. The parent suffers emotional pain, such as guilt, for the rest of their lives.
Yes, it's legal, at least until the child turns eighteen. The law won't get involved unless there's reason to believe the child is being abused or neglected in some way.

Most parents can be persuaded (eventually) to ease up a little; just don't try the ';it's illegal'; argument, that won't scare them at all.
It is not only legal but it is a parent's responsibility. A parent is legally responsible for a child under the age of 18.
