On 95 Chevy Lumina computer diagnostic reads 43 (ESC) code Advanced Auto parts is confused as to whether this is a module or sensor? And where on this engine is it located? Is the Electronic Spark Control a module or a sensor and how do I replace it?
There are at least 2 components. There is the crankshaft position sensor and the camshaft position sensor. Crankshaft position sensor is right by the crankshaft (look for the harmonic balancer), should be the only thing there with a wire coming out of it. Camshaft position sensor is located at either end of one of the heads, again just look for a thing with a wire.Is the Electronic Spark Control a module or a sensor and how do I replace it?
Dear Avastacy: is the one that make the distrbutor works.
one of them is IN the distributor and the other is not to far.
you need special tool for remove it (is not expense dough)
Its both...the modual need a sensor to work. the advance guy/gal should have a schematic on the computer showing where the sensor is located, u might want to take it to a car guy/gal and not just replace things willy nilly
